The Deputy Sheriff’s Association of Michigan is a professional organization for Sheriff's Office employees that has been working hard to protect the State of Michigan since 1978. Membership in DSAM is the mark of a professional Deputy and an indication of your support for making Michigan a safer place and the lives of its Deputies and Officers better. |
DSAM Membership DSAM membership is important for you as well as every other Deputy and Officer in the state of Michigan. The Deputy Sheriff's Association of Michigan has been working hard for decades to make Michigan safer and the lives of it's Law Enforcement Officers, Local Corrections Officers and Emergency Dispatchers better.

As you may know, through the Freedom of Information Act, the Deputy Sheriff’s Association of Michigan has been requesting documents from Michigan Sheriffs and the Sheriffs’ Coordinating and Training Council (SCTC) regarding the certification and annual re-certification of Local Corrections Officers and the expenditure of training funds, both of which are governed under Public Acts 124 and 125 of 2003.
The Michigan Star is DSAM's quarterly publication that is available for a limited time to everyone for free. The publication includes important information about DSAM and news that is important to DSAM members.
