Through all the craziness and the fast moving news stories it is sometimes hard to get a handle on how exactly we got to the point where every American family has to pony up $10,000 to give to fat cat Wall St. incompetents.
The quick and dirty explanation is provided by ABC News in an article entitled ECON 101: Credit Crunch for Dummies.
A more lengthy, but well worth the listen, explanation is provided through an NPR joint effort between This American Life and NPR News which was way ahead of this problem when they aired their spot-on special entitled The Giant Pool of Money back in May.
If you are looking for something a bit more tailored to your own personal financial information needs, take a look at the blog "I Will Teach You To Be Rich" which has a top ten of articles both explaining the crisis and how to navigate your money through it.
Lastly, Time magazine blog "The Curious Capitalist" has a list of good questions and decent answers specifically about the bailout and what it means for you.
