| Barry County Deputy dies in Motorcycle Crash |

According to an article from Wood TV8, Barry County Deputy Christopher Yonkers, 43 of Hastings, was killed in a crash last night. The article says that Dep. Hastings was operating his motorcycle west bound on M-43 in Carlton Township when a vehicle turned in front of him. Despite the fact that he was wearing a helmet, he was killed in the crash. As you might imagine the driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.
