Most of the software that I use everyday to work on web sites, play music and videos and communicate with friends and family is freely available over the internet. In fact, most of it is ONLY available for free and there is really no other paid alternative that is better. Unfortunately, there is a vast sea of software across the internet that is just plain bad or full of viruses, etc. I have just finished writing a guide to the software I use on my own computers (yes, there are many) which is available on the Deputy Sheriff's Association of Michigan website at http://dsam-mi.org Click here to check out the guide at DSAM-MI.org
